Fees
I believe in straightforward, transparent pricing. There are no hidden costs, no packages to buy, and no minimum number of sessions. You pay as you go, one session at a time.
Session fees
| Session type | Duration | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| In-person session (Central London W1) | 50 minutes | £65 |
| Online session (video call or telephone) | 50 minutes | £55 |
| Initial consultation | 20 minutes | Free |
What's included
Every session includes:
- 50 minutes of dedicated one-to-one time — your session is never cut short
- A confidential, private space — in-person sessions are held in a quiet, comfortable room in W1; online sessions take place on a secure video platform
- Continuity — you work with me throughout, not a rotating team of therapists
- Flexibility — switch between in-person and online sessions whenever you need to
- No contracts — you can stop, pause, or change frequency at any time
How it works
Payment
Sessions are paid individually by bank transfer before each appointment. Payment details are provided when you book.
Cancellations
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged at the full rate. I understand that life is unpredictable, especially during grief, and I'll always be as accommodating as I can.
Frequency
Most clients begin with weekly sessions and adjust from there. Some move to fortnightly as things settle. We'll find a rhythm that works for you.
Duration of counselling
There's no set number of sessions. Some people find that 6 to 10 weeks give them what they need. Others benefit from longer-term support. We'll check in regularly, and you decide when you're ready to finish.
Making counselling accessible
I want cost to be as small a barrier as possible. If money is tight and it's stopping you from reaching out, please talk to me. I'd rather have a conversation about it than have you go without support.
You may also find these options helpful:
- Your employer's EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) — many employers offer free counselling sessions through their EAP. Check with your HR team.
- Health insurance — some private health plans cover counselling. Check whether your policy includes mental health or bereavement support.
- Free services — organisations like Cruse Bereavement Support (0808 808 1677) offer free bereavement counselling. Waiting times can be longer, but it's a valuable option.
Start with a free consultation
The best way to find out if counselling is right for you is to have a conversation. The initial 20-minute consultation is free and comes with no obligation.
